The SAP® C_HCMP certification checks whether you hold the fundamental, project-ready knowledge of SAP HCM Payroll on SAP S/4HANA rather than just familiarity with the terminology. It spans the core HR foundation — logging on and navigating the system, personnel administration and HR master data, organizational structures, and time management — before moving into the payroll heart of the credential: running and simulating payroll, correction and retroactive runs, posting results to Financial Accounting, generating bank transfers, and troubleshooting typical payroll errors. On the configuration side it covers master-data setup, remuneration and wage-type structures, personnel calculation rules, schemas, wage-type valuation, absence valuation, factoring, cumulation, and average processing. Because it is delivered as a Scenario-Based Assessment, the exam rewards applied execution within realistic business situations, and it is positioned as an entry-level qualification for consultants working under the guidance of an experienced colleague.
