The SAP® C_THR87 certification checks whether you can actually configure and run SAP SuccessFactors Variable Pay, not merely describe it. It spans the applied work of setting up a variable-pay program end to end — customer analysis and program setup, employee data configuration, bonus plans, form setup and management, worksheets, reward and personal statements, advanced features, and the integration between Employee Central and Variable Pay, plus the Total Compensation plan template. Because it is delivered as a Scenario-Based Assessment built around a single guided activity, the exam rewards applied execution over recall: you work through a realistic configuration situation rather than answering isolated multiple-choice items. The certification is positioned as an entry-level qualification at project-participation depth for the consultant profile, and it assumes familiarity with the SAP SuccessFactors platform foundation on which the Variable Pay module runs. Note that provisioning rights on the live solution are granted only to registered SAP partner consultants.
