The SAP® C_DBADM certification checks whether you can actually administer SAP HANA — both the cloud service and the on-premise enterprise edition — rather than merely describe how it works. It spans the full operational lifecycle: understanding the in-memory architecture, provisioning and deploying database instances, installing and upgrading systems, performing configuration tasks, monitoring performance and troubleshooting through traces and alerts, running data and log backups with recovery, managing users and security, and migrating existing HANA databases into SAP HANA Cloud. Because it is delivered as a System-Based Assessment, the exam rewards applied execution: you carry out administration tasks in a working environment using tools such as SAP HANA Cloud Central, the SAP HANA cockpit, database explorer, and hdbsql, rather than answering isolated recall questions. The content targets the administrator profile at an intermediate, operations-ready depth.
