About the C_MDG exam
The SAP® C_MDG certification checks whether you understand and can apply the core capabilities of SAP Master Data Governance, not merely describe them. It spans why trusted, consistent master data matters to an organization and how MDG supports the controlled creation, maintenance, and distribution of that data across the enterprise. The scope covers deployment options — central governance on SAP S/4HANA, the cloud edition, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, and federated MDG — along with domain-specific governance for material, business partner, supplier, customer, and finance data, plus consolidation, mass processing, data-quality management, and process analytics. Because it is delivered as a Scenario-Based Assessment, the exam rewards reasoning through a realistic situation and choosing the right governance approach rather than recalling isolated facts. It is written for the consultant profile at an entry-level, mentored project-participation depth.
