Independent, reasoning-first practice for the SAP® C_C4HCX Solution Architect – Customer Experience certification, built for the 2026 Scenario-Based Assessment format.
Who it's for: Solution architects and senior consultants working across the SAP Customer Experience portfolio — Commerce Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Customer Data Cloud, Customer Data Platform, and Emarsys — together with SAP BTP, who have roughly two or more years of CX project experience and want a recognized associate credential proving they can shape end-to-end CX solution architectures and guide a delivery team through design and integration decisions.

The SAP® C_C4HCX certification confirms that you understand the capabilities and architecture of the SAP Customer Experience portfolio and SAP Business Technology Platform well enough to make sound design decisions on a project. It is aimed at an associate-level architect who, with a couple of years of hands-on CX experience, can contribute to and advise a delivery team. The scope spans the functional and technical footprint of Commerce Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Customer Data Cloud, Customer Data Platform, and Emarsys, plus how BTP, the Integration Suite, and SAP Build extend and connect those solutions. Because it is delivered as a Scenario-Based Assessment, the exam rewards applied judgement: you work through a realistic situation and justify architecture, integration, and extensibility choices rather than answer isolated recall questions. Preparation should therefore centre on translating business requirements into components, weighing trade-offs, and planning delivery activities such as testing, deployment, and change management.
The blueprint areas to focus your preparation on.
Understanding the purpose, core capabilities, and architectural shape of each solution in the CX suite — Commerce Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Customer Data Cloud, Customer Data Platform, and Emarsys — and how they combine into a coherent customer-experience landscape within the wider intelligent enterprise.
Explaining how SAP BTP and the Integration Suite tie CX applications to each other and to back-end systems, and selecting a suitable connection style, API strategy, and messaging or event pattern to satisfy the integration needs of a given CX landscape.
Proposing extension strategies that meet custom requirements without disrupting standard solutions — using SAP Build, SAP Build Code, and BTP platform services to add bespoke logic, applications, or automation on top of the CX suite.
Working with the technical building blocks of Commerce Cloud — the type and data model, service and facade layers, the Backoffice framework, composable storefront, search and personalization, and the OCC web-service layer — as they inform architecture and delivery decisions.
Designing for customer data and identity across Customer Data Cloud (including CIAM for B2B) and the Customer Data Platform — identity resolution, registration and consent handling, data ingestion, segmentation, and activation — while respecting privacy and regulatory obligations.
Mapping requirements onto Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Emarsys engagement capabilities — sales and service processes, case and SLA handling, campaign automation, and the embedded AI features — so the proposed design fits how these applications are actually operated.
Translating business requirements into solution components, justifying architecture and design trade-offs, and planning delivery work such as testing, deployment, and change management for a customer-experience implementation.
