How to prepare

1Treat the platform layers as one connected stack — model the type system first, then trace how a definition flows through ImpEx imports, Flexible Search queries, services, and facades so you can predict downstream effects under task conditions.
2Drill the service and facade layers together: model objects and life cycles, transactional methods, and service layer direct feed the DTO and data-conversion logic in the facades, and the two areas are frequently examined as a combined implementation task.
3Practise Cloud Portal build and deployment hands-on — connecting the code repository, running the build framework, and managing deployment processes — since deployment mistakes are easy to make and costly when the single activity depends on a working system.
4Rehearse the storefront and web-services layer end to end — composable storefront, personalization, adaptive search, promotions and coupons, and Omni Commerce Connect DTOs and custom services — because these advanced topics are where downstream configuration choices most often go wrong.
5Work backend business processes as their own study block: the process engine, event system, order management, cronjobs, workflows, and validation each behave differently, and understanding how they trigger and chain prevents avoidable errors when a scenario spans several of them.
