The SAP® E_ACTAI certification checks whether you can actually lead an agile SAP implementation using the SAP Activate framework, not merely describe it. It validates cloud-focused business skills and the ability to apply agile methodologies and tooling across a live project — planning and executing the work, running Scrum in an SAP context, managing internal and external stakeholders, applying basic change-management practices, and guiding the transition from the sales phase through realization. The scope draws on the SAP Activate methodology foundation and its phases, cloud transition paths, workstreams and Clean Core, plus the agile delivery cycle of backlog creation, iterative build, release planning, sprint execution, and testing. Because it is delivered as a Scenario-Based Assessment, the exam rewards applied judgement: you work through a realistic project situation and make the calls a project manager would make, rather than answering isolated recall questions. It targets the project-manager profile at a specialist depth.

1. 1Learn the SAP Activate methodology as one connected lifecycle — pillars, phase structure, and each phase's purpose — so you can place any agile decision at the right point in the framework instead of treating the phases as disconnected labels.
2. 2Study agile and Scrum inside the SAP context rather than generically: practise how roles, backlog, sprint cycle, and release planning map onto SAP Activate, since the exam expects the two frameworks reasoned about together.
3. 3Drill backlog management end to end — product backlog creation with the definitions of ready and done — because clear, actionable backlog items are the foundation the iterative build and release decisions depend on.
4. 4Work through release planning in both standard and scaled environments, and connect it to the sprint cycle and testing-and-deploy activities, so you can reason about how build increments are planned and delivered across a larger project.
