Independent, reasoning-first practice for the SAP® C_S4CPB Implementation Consultant certification, built for the 2026 System-Based Assessment format.
Who it's for: Implementation consultants and project team members joining an SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition rollout who want a recognized associate credential proving they can carry out the core project tasks — team setup, system landscapes, fit-to-standard configuration, extensibility, integration, data migration, and testing — as a contributing member of a cloud ERP implementation.

The SAP® C_S4CPB certification checks whether you can genuinely explain and perform the core project activities behind an SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition rollout, not merely describe them. Its scope runs across the full cloud implementation lifecycle: distinguishing cloud deployment options and applying a cloud mindset, assembling the implementation team, defining system landscapes and provisioning systems, running fit-to-standard workshops, and configuring business processes through SAP Central Business Configuration. It then extends into the SAP Fiori Launchpad, business-role authorizations, key-user and side-by-side extensibility under a clean-core approach, integration setup, data migration with the migration cockpit, and automated testing. Because it is delivered as a System-Based Assessment, the exam rewards applied execution — completing tasks in a working system rather than answering isolated recall items. It targets the consultant profile at an entry-level, project-participation depth.
The blueprint areas to focus your preparation on.
Understanding cloud computing concepts, data centers, and service and architecture models; distinguishing cloud from on-premise; positioning the SAP Business Suite, GROW and RISE with SAP, and subscription licensing; and using the Digital Discovery Assessment to choose the right cloud ERP path with a cloud-first mindset.
Identifying key stakeholders, roles, and responsibilities; exploring system landscapes and release upgrades; provisioning systems and completing initial setup; establishing the project in SAP Cloud ALM; deploying content in the starter system; and creating users with the right access to the starter environment.
Running the fit-to-standard analysis — capturing responses in the business-driven configuration questionnaire, preparing the starter system, and conducting workshops — then setting up implementation workspaces, localizations and scope, finance and organizational settings, product-specific values, and transports in SAP Central Business Configuration.
Navigating the SAP Fiori Launchpad, using embedded support and the Joule assistant, managing teams and responsibilities, and working with situation handling, flexible workflows, and embedded analytics; then creating and restricting business roles and aligning the launchpad to those customized roles.
Applying the extensibility toolset within a clean-core strategy — key-user in-app tools to build custom fields, logic, interfaces, business objects, and output templates, transporting those extensions, plus developer in-app extensibility and side-by-side extensibility on SAP Business Technology Platform.
Analyzing the integration landscape, working with the SAP Integration Suite and SAP Best Practices integration content, automating standard integrations with the Cloud Integration Automation Service, configuring customer-driven integrations, and monitoring the results through SAP Cloud ALM.
Using the SAP S/4HANA migration cockpit with local templates, a remote HANA database, or a direct SAP ERP source; tracking and extending migration objects; and building a test strategy with SAP Cloud ALM and the test automation tool, including post-upgrade testing and Tricentis-based automation.
