The SAP® C_LIXEA certification checks whether you can actually use SAP LeanIX to run enterprise architecture work, not merely describe it. It spans getting started with the tool and its meta model, the modeling guidelines that govern different fact sheet types, importing data to populate the inventory, and two practical use cases — assessing an application portfolio and rationalizing applications — along with meta model configuration, collaboration and adoption settings, diagrams, and the platform's standard integrations. Because it is delivered as a Scenario-Based Assessment, the exam rewards applied reasoning: you work through a realistic situation and choose the right LeanIX approach rather than answering isolated recall questions. The content is written for the consultant profile at an entry-level, project-participation depth.

1. 1Learn the LeanIX workflow as one connected flow — setup, modeling, data import, and reporting — so you can trace how a modeling choice made early on shapes the insights a report or use case produces later.
2. 2Study the modeling guidelines alongside the different fact sheet types: how you scope an IT component, tech category, platform, or initiative determines how cleanly the inventory maps to the real architecture, and the two are frequently examined together.
3. 3Treat the meta model configuration as its own study block — practise how its settings and data-quality rules interact, since small changes there quietly change what your fact sheets and reports can represent.
4. 4Work the two use cases end to end — assessing an application portfolio and rationalizing applications — because the correct outcome depends on how the underlying fact sheets were modeled and populated upstream.
